i saw a horrible wreck today (well, i didn't see the wreck happen, but i saw the commotion afterwards)- i was driving along, and saw about 5 police cars, a red rescue vehicle, a fire truck, an ambulance and a tow truck- all with lights on- on the side of the road. there were also about 4 or 5 other cars stopped along the road nearby, but none of them were smashed up... i saw a guard rail that had been completely destroyed- it looked like top of a sardine can after it has been opened (i have no idea how the guard rail curled up like that). but i didn't see any wrecked vehicles. of course, everyone was driving by rubber necking, so traffic was moving very slowly through this area, so i looked some more- mainly wondering why all the commotion when there was no wrecked vehicle- and then i noticed it. i saw only the wheels of a semi truck, it was upside down in the ditch by the road (i guess that explains the great damage to the guard rail- but how did it curl...how did it do that?). a semi was totally flipped over- damn. i don't know if anyone was hurt or if there were other cars involved (as the ditch was apparently deep enough to only allow me to see the wheels of the big ass semi truck, so if smaller cars were involved, i wouldn't have necessarily seen them). i hope nobody was hurt.
