this morning before school, the boy got ready really fast and had a few minutes before the sweet one was ready. so i played a rousing game of hungry hungry hippos with him. we each controlled two hippos, and all four hippos had names. i was controlling griswold and petunia pete. i picked griswold as the name, and the boy named the other one petunia. our siamese cat (oscar pete) was sitting there, in front of petunia, and kept wanting the marbles, so he started calling that hippo 'petunia pete'. he controlled ben and poodles. both of which he named himself. i have to confess, doing that made the game more interesting for me.
